Food Storage

We have been counseled to build a 3-month supply of food that is part of our normal diet and to gradually build a longer-term supply of basic foods that will sustain life. To help Stake and Ward members achieve this goal, the Stake is coordinating orders of prepackaged and bulk products from the Fountain Valley Home Storage Center.  This program is designed to help you acquire your food storage a little at a time.  We will be placing orders once every quarter of the year (four times in 2014) for different items.  The goal of the program is, at the end of a year of participation, to help you acquire a balanced 3-month supply of basic food storage items. As you continue in the program the following year, you will layer another 3 months to increase your sustainability. You are also encouraged to supplement your long term storage with pantry food that is part of your normal diet and to add other items such as water, first aid, heat sources, etc.

Below is the schedule of product that will be made available through this program.  Watch in your wards for order forms or contact the Stake RS Emergency Preparedness board at MVprepare@gmail.com.
