2013 Mission Viejo Stake Preparedness

Upcoming Events:
  1. Stake Cooking Class.  November 9, 2013 at the Antonio Building at 9 AM.  See the Cooking Class link for more information.
Food Storage & Cannery Changes
Due to changes at the Fountain Valley Home Storage Center, it is unclear whether Mission Viejo Stake will continue making bulk buying purchases through this website.  As the facility is no longer functioning as a cannery as in the past, the general public is now able to pick up pre-packaged items from the Center without having to can the items yourself.  The facility is open every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 pm.   We will not be making a bulk purchase in November.  If you purchased Potato Flakes or Potato Pearls through the website in October, those items will be picked up and distributed in November as previously scheduled.  Please call Alana Kirkham with any questions.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors Disaster can strike quickly and without warning, sometimes isolating entire neighborhoods.  Neighbors may need to rely on each other and their own resources for several days before help arrives.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a simple way to prepare for emergencies such as an earthquake or other major disaster. It does not require any special expertise or knowledge – just a desire to help and be more prepared.    Visit our NHN Page to get started today.

The Mission Viejo Emergency Preparedness Expo
